More About Carole

Carole Fish has served in the nonprofit sector as a manager, consultant, and volunteer for more than

25 years. She received her BA at Fairhaven College, Western Washington State University,

Bellingham, Washington, and her Masters in Education at the University of San Diego, California.

She began her career working in the healthcare industry in San Diego at the American Cancer

Society, Scripps Health, Scripps Clinic Green, Scripps Clinic Chula Vista, and Rady Children’s

Hospital. She established the FISH+LEWIS Consulting firm in 2005 and has provided fundraising

and strategic consulting services to more than 50 nonprofits.


Carole has served in several roles throughout her career that include major gifts

fundraising and teaching. She was an adjunct professor at the University of San Diego’s

School for Leadership and Education Sciences Masters program and an instructor at

University of California, San Diego. She earned a CFRE certification and was voted San

Diego’s AFP Outstanding Development Professional for 2011. For more than a decade, Carole

served on the Board of Directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the

Golden Triangle Rotary, San Diego, and is a Paul Harris Fellow.
